One week to go...

I voted last week, and I'm so ready for election day! This has been quite an exciting election season, albeit way too long. It really has dragged on, hasn't it? Well, we only have one week to go now, and I feel like things are looking good for the Dems. Yes!!! And we couldn't be in a more desperate situation than we are now. The economy is in the toilet, healthcare is at an all time high, we have to get on the stick when it comes to clean energy and becoming less dependent on oil, and we have just about priced the middle class out of a higher education. It is a monumental task, and I just don't feel that John McCain and Sarah Palin are up to the job. McCain is the son of a Navy admiral who was an underachiever throughout his school years, managed to plunge about 5 fighter planes into the Earth and is only famous because of celebrity due to his unfortunate POW years. Now, I can appreciate that McCain served for our country, but I don't necessarily believe that makes him a good presidential prospect, and there is not a single thing about Sarah Palin that is presidential. We cannot afford to have that woman in a position a heartbeat away from the presidency! You just have to have great men and women, great thinkers running the country. We've seen what happens when you have a "guy next door, hang out and have a beer" kind of person is running the country. We are screwed!!! Oh well, I think there is light at the end of the tunnel, and I'm so relieved!
